It is hosted by the of recent Greg James, when he started on 20th August 2018 till present. 
The show is produced by Chris Sawyer and Will Foster at Studio 82A, Broadcasting House, London. 
Greg James is the newest presenter for the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, being the 16th radio host. 

Previously -
The first presenter for the show was Tony Blackburn, speaking the very first words on the show in 1973 and lasted up to nearly 6 years. Many more DJ's have since presented the Breakfast Show, a famous one being Chris Moyles, having his The Chris Moyles Show for over 8 years making him the longest-serving Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter.

The show used to run 6 days a week until Feb 1968, when it turned to 5 days a week until June 2018, when the Friday show was dropped and put into their weekend schedule, the Weekend Breakfast.
